These terms govern your use of LinkDem. Please read them carefully — by using the service, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and LinkDem. By creating an account, generating a QR code, or otherwise using https://linkdem.one and its services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use LinkDem.

2. Eligibility

To use LinkDem, you must:

Age: be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country.
Capacity: have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Accurate information: provide truthful, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.

3. Description of Service

LinkDem is a lost-and-found recovery platform. The service lets you:

Generate a unique QR code linked to your account.
Attach the code to your belongings so finders can report a lost item.
Manage your QR code, recovery reports and emergency contacts from your dashboard.
Receive notifications by in-app alert, email and WhatsApp when your item is found.

We may add, change or remove features at any time as the product evolves.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for your account. This means you must:

Password security: keep your password confidential and use a strong, unique password.
Accurate details: maintain accurate account information.
One account: hold a single account for your own use, unless we agree otherwise.
Unauthorized access: notify us at support@linkdem.one if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

When using LinkDem, you must not:

Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your identity.
Send spam or unsolicited messages.
Abuse the QR scan flow or submit false or malicious recovery reports.
Upload illegal content or malware.
Attempt to hack, probe or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
Reverse engineer, decompile or copy any part of the service.
Interfere with, disrupt or overload the service or its infrastructure.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, submit or share content that contains or promotes:

Illegal materials or activities.
Hate speech, harassment or threats.
Fraud or deception.
Copyright or intellectual-property violations.
Pornographic or sexually explicit material.
Dangerous, harmful or violent content.

We may remove content that violates these Terms and take action on the associated account.

7. QR Codes & Recovery

QR codes help identify your belongings and let a finder alert you, but they do not establish or guarantee ownership.

Recovery depends on the actions of third parties — the people who find and choose to report your item.

LinkDem facilitates contact between finders and owners. We cannot force anyone to return an item and are not responsible for whether an item is recovered.

8. Public Scan Pages

QR recovery pages are public: anyone who has the code can open the associated page without an account.

Information shown on these pages is intentionally made public to enable recovery.

You control what information is displayed. Do not include anything you are not comfortable making publicly accessible.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as item descriptions and photos.

By submitting content, you grant LinkDem a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, process, back up and optimize that content solely to operate and provide the service.

You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

10. Intellectual Property

LinkDem and its licensors own all rights to the platform, including:

The website and software.
The LinkDem name, branding and logos.
APIs, designs and visual assets.

You may not use our intellectual property without our prior written permission.

11. Third-Party Services

LinkDem relies on third-party providers to operate. Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

Email delivery provider.
WhatsApp messaging provider.
Image hosting and media delivery.
Cloud hosting and infrastructure.

12. Service Availability

We work to keep LinkDem reliable, but we do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or 100% uptime.
Continuous, always-on availability.
Error-free or bug-free operation.

We may suspend or limit the service for maintenance, security or technical reasons.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if:

You abuse the service or other users.
We detect fraud or illegal activity.
There are security concerns affecting you or the platform.
You violate these Terms or our policies.

You may stop using LinkDem at any time and request account deletion at support@linkdem.one.

14. Disclaimer

LinkDem is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that:

Lost items will be recovered.
Finders or scanners will respond.
Information provided by users is accurate.
The platform will always be available.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LinkDem is not liable for:

Lost, damaged or unrecovered property.
Business interruption.
Loss of data.
Indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Missed or failed recoveries.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless LinkDem and its team from any claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Force Majeure

LinkDem is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

Natural disasters.
Internet or hosting outages.
War or civil unrest.
Government actions or legal restrictions.
Cyber attacks.

18. Governing Law

LinkDem is available to people around the world. Rather than imposing a single national jurisdiction on you, we ask that you use the service in line with the laws that apply to you where you live.

Where mandatory local laws give you rights that cannot be waived, nothing in these Terms removes or limits those rights.

19. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, we ask that you first try to resolve it with us directly:

Negotiation: contact us at support@linkdem.one so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
Mediation: if needed, the parties may attempt good-faith mediation.
Arbitration or courts: if a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before the competent courts or an arbitration body in your place of residence or another applicable jurisdiction.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LinkDem and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.

Continuing to use LinkDem after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
